June Poem
Mending A Broken Mind
Wrapped in a layer of bandages being held
together by the strength of will and hope. Slowly these cracks and bruises
begin to mend and heal by the strands of time. Medicated by the days of good
with love and happiness. Until one day the cracks begin to crumble under the
pressure of the darkness and self-loathing. The bandages can only do so much
for so long. The pressure increases and so do the dark thoughts. Strips of
fabric begin to fail and the darkness creeps in taking over the defenseless
wounds. This fragile structure slowly crumbles and begins to lose the long and
tiring fight. The strips are worn and torn to pieces… leaving behind a broken
mind.
